Goldsmiths Students’ Union
The Goldsmiths SU identity was old, uninspiring and in need of a refresh. The sticker logo had been forgotten about and nothing really matched up.
The approach was to pair up all of the Students’ Union activities and services in a joined-up and cohesive way. That gave birth to the sleek and simple identity.
The Logo Mark
The logo mark is in essence the brand’s signature. It is designed to be a recognisable asset that should be used consistently across all materials that either belong to, or is in the name of, the SU.
The Logo Stamp
The logo stamp can be used to identify specific departments or key events. This creates a simple and engaging way to provide essential information.
The defined lines of the logo mark and the paired-down pastels are used as a quick and easy identifier for students, whilst the hand-drawn illustrations are to create a soft and unobtrusive style, which became a fan-favourite across the brand.
Website
Using the new identity, the website had a complete re-design to work across all devices. A site-wide search function and president areas for sports teams and societies were added, creating a more engaging and interactive place for the students to use.
